Bau der Zlobin-Bosiljevo-Gaspipeline in vollem Gange

Judging by the engagement of the employees of the Port of Rijeka, where the unloading of pipes intended for the construction of the Zlobin-Bosiljevo gas pipeline is currently taking place, and the engagement of the employees of Zagreb’s Monter-Strojarska montaža, the lead contractor for its construction, all necessary preconditions have been created for this demanding technical and technological gas pipeline to be completed on schedule and put into operation during 2025.

This is an extremely complex project in the gas transport system, into which approximately 155 million euros will be invested, and whose construction will enable an increase in gas transport from the existing LNG terminal to its current technical capacity of about 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. By constructing the 58 km long Zlobin – Bosiljevo gas pipeline, financed by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the security of gas supply for consumers in the Republic of Croatia will be increased even in the most demanding supply and consumption circumstances, and it will enable further development of the gas pipeline system and increase gas transport to Hungary and Slovenia.

As Ivica Arar, President of the Management Board of Plinacro, points out, increasing the capacity of the LNG terminal on the island of Krk and constructing the Zlobin – Bosiljevo gas pipeline will further diversify the routes and sources of natural gas supply in the market of the Republic of Croatia and create the basic preconditions for additional supply to the European Union as well as reduce dependence on Russian gas.
